Eric is a Certified Arborist and Certified Forester with 41 years’ experience. He has assisted clients with various aspects of both timber management and arboriculture. Timber management experience includes marketing of forest products; timber appraisals for establishing IRS basis, Eminent Domain, timber trespass, and insurance claims; coordinating contractors for reforestation, site preparation, fireline establishment, and invasive species control; writing forest management plans, and coordinating prescribed burns. Arboricultural assistance has included tree appraisals for insurance claims, neighbor disputes, and Eminent Domain; tree inventories for developers and municipalities; tree preservation consultation; tree risk assessments; and tree decline diagnosis. While most of Eric’s work is in Florida, he has also provided assistance to clients in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Utah, and California. Eric has assisted attorneys for both plaintiffs and defendants in such cases involving death or injury from fallen trees or limbs; evaluating trees and timber for Eminent Domain, timber trespass, and wildfire damage; and liability regarding prescribed burning.
